Nail cutting by the moon
Nail cutting by the lunar calendar: the next favorable day is Friday 13 November. Score calendar, goals and the traditional rules behind every date.
Why by the moon?
In traditional astrology Capricorn rules bones, teeth and nails — which is why Paungger/Poppe treats it as the classic nail day: nails are said to regrow firm and healthy. Earth-sign days in general (Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn) carry the same theme of firmness and durability.
Whether a waning moon helps on top is disputed between traditions — some swear by it, others hold that only the sign matters. The phase rule therefore counts at half weight.

Why 90 points on Friday 13 November?
The MoonScore aggregates traditional lunar-calendar rules (Paungger/Poppe, folk tradition, Maria Thun). It does not represent any scientifically established effect.
* Traditions disagree on this rule — it counts at half weight.
When is the next good day for nail cutting?
Friday 13 November — Very favorable (90/100).
Why is the Capricorn moon considered the best day to cut nails?
According to Paungger/Poppe, Capricorn days are the classic days for strong, healthy nails. The other earth-sign days (Taurus, Virgo) are also considered favourable in folk tradition.
Should you cut your nails during a waning moon?
The traditions disagree here: parts of folk tradition recommend the waning moon so nails grow back stronger, while other accounts consider the phase unimportant. According to Paungger/Poppe, the sign matters more — ideally Capricorn.
